Pendleton Hill

There’s a park near our house with a rather large “hill” at the back of it. When I am in need of a good, empowering, beautiful workout I “try” to run up it. The other day Carson, Graham and I were on a walk and I asked them if they wanted to try to go to the top, they were game, so off we went. It was an absolutely gorgeous day…and this is a MAJOR understatement! We did it, the boys didn’t even need any coaxing to the top (although we did have to take periodic rests). After school Carson was telling Lucy what we did and she wanted to try it too. So the next day, which was beautiful weather as well, we climbed it with the whole fam. We have since deemed it, “Pendleton Hill,” or “Pendleton BIG Hill.”

Can you see the tiny little trail? It’s very steep most of the way up.

Here’s some of us at the top. (Graham refused to get in the picture)P1020551

Here’s a shot of the decent…just to show some more perspective :) The name, “Pendleton Hill,” came from the fact that (according to the kids) you can see the whole town!P1020545 On the day the boys and I climbed the hill, we couldn’t resist a backyard picnic in the gorgeous weather. Right after this shot Carson went and changed into shorts & a t-shirt…it got up to 77 that day…woohooo!P1020539

This is the beauty of being 3…you get to tuck yourself in for a nap anytime you feel like it… aaahhhh those were the days :)

You also find joy in the little things… like vacuuming :)

LOVED Pendleton Hill shots...and about climbing...that "it's always further, taller, harder than it looks". I agreed to climb Mt. Fuji , in Japan on my 50th B-Day...and YEP,farther, taller & harder" ha ha ha
