We have discovered a great tradition in this town, the annual “Daddy/daughter dance.” It happens around Valentine’s Day each year and is quite the event. Every year it actually sells out! Last year we called to get tickets too late, this year I was on top of things and snatched them up early. Many of the girls in town go all out with formals, getting their hair done at salons etc…this year someone even had a limo!! Ca-razy! Lucy was so excited to have a fancy date with her Daddy. She picked out her favorite Christmas dress (fitting that it’s red) as well as her Daddy’s tie (she wanted it to match), we curled her hair and I let her wear a tiny bit of make-up too. Most of her friends from school were there and they all had a great time dancing, playing ping-pong, and eating many many different treats dipped in the 3 different chocolate fountains!
