Graham had his 2nd birthday this last week. With it being so soon after Christmas I'm ashamed to say we didn't do anything real grand. I made cupcakes with help from Lucy and Carson, we sang, we ate, and opened presents. He had fun and loved everything he got, his favorite is probably the bubbles that Carson bought for him for 34 cents! He's still as opinionated as ever and now has many many words to back it up. The other day when picking out his own shirt, he held one up and said, "Cute!" He loves to brush his teeth, give lot's of hugs, and eat junk-food :)
This is what I got for Todd’s and my birthdays…a foot sprain and a hematoma. Somehow when I was taking the step down into our living room some wild toys jumped up and attacked my foot and I ended up on the ground. This is all pretty annoying to me because…”Heeeellllooooo- I have things to do!” So, after it happened I continued to make the kids lunch, put Graham down for a nap, and make a few phone calls. By the time I sat down and assessed the situation I had a big bump (about the size of half a golf ball) on the top of my foot and it was hurting pretty bad. So I called Todd and asked him what he thought I should do. He said go to the ER. To which I responded “No way! I have way to many things to be doing today I can’t waste time at the ER!” He reminded me that a friend of ours here in Pendleton is a podiatrist, so I called him and he took a look at it. I left his office with this nice bright blue soft-cast which I have to wear for a week. Then it comes off and we do more x-rays to see what to do next.
I am okay helping anyone else with their sicknesses or injuries but as far as my own…they are nothing more than a HUGE inconvenience! But this too shall pass. Here it is in all it’s glory.
Happy Birthday to me (and Todd ‘cause the bill will most likely be more than we both would have spent)..I guess I’m getting old and toys are now stronger than I.

BOO..I forgot your birthday. Not really, I just temporarily didn't mention it. Sorry about the cast...but it is Melina's favorite color. She loves it.
That stinks big time! At least it isn't summer when you want to go swimming and stuff...that would really be a pain! :)
Happy Birthday ya poor thing! I agree, that would annoy me so much too. Mom's DO NOT have time for injuries or illnesses. Get better and watch out for them toys. We just found out Gramma and Grampa are coming for Matthew's baptism in February!!
Happy Birthday-- you crack me up-- then I continued to make lunch... and clean out the car.. paint the walls... build a tree house for the kids.... Hope you have a speedy recovery and the bill isn't too big. Love and hugs to the Oyama's.
