Christmas

Well another Christmas has come and gone far too quickly! We had a great time spending a few days with each set of grandparents. Here’s a few snapshots…

Before leaving for my parents we opened gifts from Uncle Greg and Uncle Alan. The kids had a blast!P1000576

Graham playing with his new GloDoodle- what a fun toy!

Carson got a rocket ship alarm clock that projects different scenes of space up on the wall as well as the time. It may be upside down but he still loved it :) The next day it was in the car for our 4 hour drive to Posh & Grammas.P1000590 Graham was SO enthralled with the train under the tree this year. It was pretty cool with it’s own remote and everything- he spent lot’s of time watching it go around and listening to it blast Christmas songs.

You have to do something fun on Christmas Eve, right? This year we chose bowling! We loaded up and went down to the local bowling alley and believe it or not we were not the only family there that day! Here’s Posh helping Lucy with her first throw (BTW: she is now a pro with bowling on the Wii- she scored a 199. Todd has tried to beat it but can’t quite get there yet)P1000595 Below is Todd “helping” Carson and Hannah in the next lane.P1000599 P1000601 Here’s Maggie all cute and in the Christmas spiritP1000602 Me trying to help Graham’s ball get down there before Santa comes at midnight! Really, when a 2 year old rolls a 6 pound ball with just one push it can take a LONG TIME to get all the way to the pins!

After bowling we stopped by to grab a bite at Arbys. In the car on the way to Arbys Lucy said, “We got to go bowling and now we get to go out to lunch too?! This is the best day ever!!!” Oh how easy they are to please at 6 years old :)

Hannah, Lucy, Sloan, and Carson.P1000610We also enjoyed our annual Christmas Eve Bingo. We all bring random gifts wrapped up and play as many rounds of Bingo as it takes for all the prizes to be won. We ended up with things like…wallets, cookbooks, aromatherapy candles, hot cocoa mugs, candy, puzzles etc. Fun stuff! P1000617 Alright a few more… Christmas morning photos. This is my fave of Lucy- look at that face! She was so happy Santa brought her a “CTR” necklace :)P1000628Sloan got a huge fire station Lego kit and he and Carson and Graham (his little striped leg is sitting by the red chair) spent a bunch of time figuring it out. Carson wasn’t too happy I made him stop and let me snap a picture. Gramma made all the grandkids Beaver jammies that they wore that night- so fun and cozy!P1000643 P1000650 A cute one of Lucy. This is a tea set she got from Uncle Frank and Auntie Lois.P1000654 Carson got this great warm-up sporty outfit from Pa and Gramma and he had to put it on right away- isn’t he cute!P1000657 Lucy’s big gift she wanted from Santa this year was an “Easy Bake Oven.” Santa decided to bring her the kit that works with your microwave. She and Carson worked hard on these tiny cute cakes AND…they tasted DISGUSTING!!! Such a bust! Lucy said, “well, now I know I will never ask for this again.” :( Kinda sad, but we still haven’t tried the cookies… maybe they’ll be yummy?P1000659 P1000660

Ya, that's why we've never gotten an easy bake. I've heard they taste nasty. But her treats were super cute. "CAKE BOSS" perfection!
Christmas looked fun. Growing up, we always went bowling on Christmas Eve too. I thought everyone came home for Christmas? Where was Seth and Crew?
