With Lucy and Todd having MLK Jr. day off we wanted to do something fun. It was bright sunshine out but a bit too windy and cold to do too much outside. So, we rented "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs" and had a movie day. Our Florida Barnes family got us a whole "family movie night"package for Christmas, complete with these cute popcorn holders for each person (Graham too). The kids got to pick out candy at the store and divvy it up for everyone. They made movie signs to hang up and each person a ticket to get into "the theater." We had a blast and the movie was fun too :)
Graham loved the popcorn and treats!
Last week Lucy's class went on a field trip to the Discovery Center here in Boise (it's like OMSI and The Children's Museum in Portland mixed together) I found a sitter for Graham and got to tag along with Carson. We had so much fun and plan to go back as a family since we didn't even get to it all. Below are pictures of Lucy and Carson laying on a bed of nails...real nails folks, crazy!

They have a little play grocery store for the kids and our whole group had a blast in there!

The staff put on a presentation for the class before we went to "discover." One thing they taught about was pulleys and how they worked. Then the kids each got to pull themselves up on a "pulley" swing. All the other adults were telling me I would need to help Carson, to which I said, "I don't think so. Let's just let him try first because I think he can do it." Sure enough he went all the way to the top with his own strength (Lucy did too), buff kids!

We have been there too. It is fun, however I would have to say Portland has more to offer with the Science fun. I hope things are going good for you guys over there.
