Christmas!!

We had a fabulous Christmas week and hope you all did too! Here are a few pictures to prove it :) For family home evening that week we read the story of Jesus' birth from the bible, while Lucy and Carson dressed up and acted out the story. They were SO excited to be Mary & Joseph. Graham had a hard time leaving baby Jesus (a doll) in the "manger," all he wanted to do was take him out and give him loves...he loves to hug baby dolls!
Graham was the first one up on Christmas morning at about 6:45. Well...that's not true, Lucy woke up at about 1:30 and was up for almost two hours telling us over and over how excited she was and that she couldn't wait to open her presents - She finally fell back to sleep and was the last one up in the morning. So this is Graham enjoying his "sweet ride" that Santa brought to him.

The kids love to push him around...as you can see he loves it too!

Santa brought each of the kids, including Graham, light-up lollipops. Graham LOVED his, got VERY sticky and had to have a bath when he was finished.

Uncle Greg got us these awesome industrial-strength twist-ties. At first we thought, "these are cool but, what are we gonna do with them?" Todd found a use. YEAH for Graham not being able to destroy the kitchen one cupboard at a time!

To continue with a Barnes family tradition the kids all opened one gift on Christmas Eve, pajamas for all of them this year. Carson got the spiderman jammies he has been wanting/wishing for for a long time and he LOVES LOVES LOVES them! He wants to live in them! So far I have been able to wash and dry them in the same day so he has been wearing them every night since getting them. In this picture he was unloading his stocking and found spiderman trading cards, too cool for a boy who idolizes spidey!

Santa did not disappoint. Another love of Carson's is dinosaurs, he got just what he asked for..."a soft one to sleep with and one that roars."

Lucy got many many things as well but this has been her favorite. Pa and Gramma got her a fancy dress with one to match her doll and Gramma sewed about 6 more outfits for her doll and wrapped them up in a little trunk. Lucy LOVES it and plays with them everyday!

They also got her this AMAZINGLY ADORABLE coat, I mean really, can anything be more precious? On top of the coat just being sooo cute, Lucy adores it and wears it everywhere along with the hat. Everywhere she goes she looks like she belongs in some American doll catalog or at some prep school, she is just too cute for words in it! And we/she gets about a thousand comments on it everywhere we go to, it's definitely an eye catcher.
That's it for now...there are a few more pictures (the kids really did get spoiled by all their doting family) but, I wasn't too good at taking pictures this year- I got too wrapped up in watching the excitement of the kids I guess. We have had a fun break and hope you all did too.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Too cute! I am laughing because Kathryn is getting the same ride-on thing for her birthday. Nathan got those same PJ's. Leila has a doll just like that, only blonde(and no matching clothes!).

Merry Christmas Friend!

Judging from her coat and dress picture, looks like we should have got her a new pair of shoes, too.

When Matthew was Carson's age, all he wanted was Spider Man stuff! HE also had those PJ's and wore them for Halloween. To answer your question, my parents were here for 2 weeks. From before Christmas until after new years. We are all sad now that they're gone.Happy New Year!
