My unplanned Blog Boycott is over

I don't quite know how it happened but I have been on about a 6 month blog boycott...with the exception of two posts that somehow got in there. I'm done boycotting now, not that I ever meant that to happen (I just didn't do it...weird huh?!). I love blogs and in my own twisted brain I feel it's a great way to journal and document my families lives and their utter cuteness! (that's a word, right?!) So here it is...me playing catch up with my online blog journal (and anyone else who happens to read my ramblings).

Yes, they did have a first day of school even though it wasn't until the last week in September.

We discovered Wallowa Lake ...fun stuff!
The deer are disturbingly friendly
The mini-golf is super fun
The Gondola ride is a blast (although not so great when it's the only way down and your trying to get your 6 year old to the ER because he just fell and passed out at the top of a HUGE mountain and you think he has a concussion...yikes!- what's vacation without an emergency?!)

Throwing rocks in the river behind our cabin
Lucy being the great big sis that she is, bringing Graham in for dinner
A visit to the Gilbert house on our way to a Beaver game
"Can you pull any harder Graham?"
Beaver game #2 with Carson (first one was with Lucy...not pictured)
Nutella is great for the light-weight, red-headed shrimp we call Graham :) He calls it "chocolate bread"
Pumpkin patch visits!

Our very own vampire and cat...our Red Power Ranger Samurai managed to not get any pictures taken of him...he is so skilled in his samurai trickery!

When Carson stayed home sick I sent him to his room while I held preschool. When it was over he came out and said, "look what I did while I was in there Mom." I was uuu-mazed, and I went to get the camera. Here I am thinking what a perfectly brilliant son I have (which he really is!), then I looked a tad closer at this Rubik's cube...a few of the stickers are crooked-ish, hhhmmmmmm. I asked, "did you move some of the stickers Carson?" To which he replied, "Yes, but only because it was really hard Mom!" Funny kid had first led me to believe that he worked for two hours in there and solved the dang thing (something I cannot do!). Gotta love this kid!

And now to Christmas. We got our tree on the 3rd and are loving the treats the elves bring every night!

Our church Christmas party was last weekend. Lucy had the stomach flu so her and I stayed home (she was NOT happy about that!), but the boys had a great time! "Careful Santa, you don't want the kids to think your happy or anything." -I guess I shouldn't complain when the guy's doing it for free.)

Making sugar cookies...I love every minute of it and so do they! (my waistline...not so much loving it)

And last but not least in my update blog...I went dark with my hair...well not so much dark as an auburnish brown, and I love it!!

Thanks for hanging in there through my long-winded update blog, you're a trooper. I hope to be better at posting more often... we'll just have to see what life throws at me.

You forgot to use your excuse of losing/misplacing your camera.
