Wiffle Ball

Carson started wiffle ball (our town’s version of “t-ball”) this year and he loves it! We’ve had quite the strange beginning to summer with some rainy days and with that came 2 canceled games…but things are definitely heating up now! The teams practice twice a week for 3 weeks and then its all games after that…2 per week. One cool thing is that all the games are played on the grass inside the round-up grounds.

Todd’s the coach and that makes it all the more special for Carson.

A little back story…when we got married and were talking about kids and what  the “right” number for us would be (we learned you just don’t know until you get there) one thing Todd said to me was, “I want to be able to be the coach for my kids’ sports teams…like my dad was.” I thought that was a great goal and a great thing to pass on. Todd obviously felt the love of his dad by his doing that for him and I love that he gets to do it for his kids too. Pa (Todd’s dad) even got to come out to one of the practices and help the team for a day…how cool is that (I’m kicking myself for not getting that one on camera! ugh!)?!

It’s just all around a great time as we get to watch these young boys learn (or try to) the ins and outs of baseball!
