Carson & Momma’s date

This month for our one-on-one dates both Todd and I got roped into taking our “date” to the skating rink here in town. This place is a "tad" run down and really could use some HGTV TLC, and about half the video games were "out-of-order". However, it’s the company that matters, right? We had a lot of fun and the place is never slow…there are constantly birthday parties, friends, and families all there having a good ol’ time. Such is the essence of this town…it doesn’t matter your surroundings it’s the people you’re with and your own ability to have a good time. Love it.

Carson LOVED the video games (that were working) and could have spent all day playing them. But he had to give skating a try…and he HAD to have Momma give it a try too (heaven help me I think it’s been at least a decade since the last time!). We lasted one time around. That’s right, ONE! But according to Carson it was tons of fun and he was faster than momma and proud of it :)

We watched in amazement as some of the other skaters went round and round doing tricks. We ended our date with some french fries and a run through the car wash…fun times had by all!

I agree. I took Matthew roller skating once. It is so hard! I can ice skate just fine but roller skating...yikes.
