Da Beach

Our annual trip to the beach with Todd's parents was last weekend. The weather was predicted to be pretty much overcast and in the 60's each day...keeping up with tradition the weather man was thankfully wrong! We had bright sunshine every day and although it wasn't real hot, it was warm enough to have a great time and even get a little (or a lot, depending on who you are) wet.

The first day on the beach all 3 of the kids got soaked! Lucy was the only one in her swimsuit but that was after getting her clothes all wet. Carson wanted to build a castle. He graciously "let" me do all the work and then Lucy and Carson decorated it with rocks, dinosaurs, seaweed, and shells.

A trip to Lincoln City is not complete without playing a round of miniature golf and getting taffy at Ainslee's while watching them make it fresh in the store (no pictured).

We stayed in a house called "The Octopus Gardens." This was our second time at this beach house and we loved it just as much! The house is great with enough room for all and some great big stuffed animals that the kids love. It's close enough to walk to the beach and it's backyard "garden" is a lot of fun.

Carson said he had a clubhouse in the back that he wanted to show us. It turned out he was calling the entire garden his clubhouse. It has a fun hammock that we had a blast in, and lots of fun trinkets and outside art/sculptures that makes it almost magical back there.
We had a great time, stayed up too late, ate too much, played too hard, searched far too long for agates and shells, stole our annual 2 buckets of sand from the beach for our sandbox, and can't wait for next year! Thank you Pa & Gramma for making this happen each summer- we love it!
Stay tuned for the next post...FIRST BEAVER HOME GAME OF THE SEASON!!
Todd, Carson, & I are gonna be there decked out and ready to yell!
