Idaho Snow is...

...TOO DRY!! We have had snow for about a week and a half and have yet been able to build a snowman, have a snowball fight, build a snow slide...any of the fun stuff. The first day the kids begged to go outside early in the morning and only lasted about half an hour. And they haven't asked to go out since. Today Todd came home early from his hospital rotation and was determined to build a snowman. He was thinking it would work now since it has warmed up to above freezing so maybe the snow would stick better...well not a chance! They managed to scrape together this humble snowman for a quick picture.
A GRAND PLAN... So I had grand visions of being able to suit up Graham and let him play out in the snow this winter with the rest of us. We found a great deal on a snowsuit for his size at Kohls black-friday sale and we were ready for the snow.
Well, I got him all dressed up only to realize he was unable to sit up. Inside when I was getting him ready I just could not stop laughing, he reminded me exactly of "Randy" on the movie "A Christmas Story", as he protested every minute of it rolling from side to side crying while I tried my darndest to get some snowboots on him (they fell right off). The coat that came with the snowsuit was so puffy I had to change it to an older one that allowed at least a little mobility...but it was still a big fat bust! As you can see he was not too happy to be out there all bundled. So I snapped a quick picture and gave up. Inside I unbundled him and he proceeded to stand at the glass door watching Daddy and the kids and crying and whining as if he really DID want to be out there...you can't win for losing I guess.
Poor little guy!

Yes, you may get more snow in Idaho, but there is not much you can do with it.
